2025 Federal Statistical Research Data Center Annual Research Conference at Cornell University

The 2025 Federal Statistical Research Data Center (FSRDC) Annual Research Conference will be taking place on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. The conference will be a day of concurrent paper sessions and a keynote presentation.

Presentations based on current or recent research leveraging the restricted-use confidential data that the Census Bureau and its partner agencies make available through the FSRDC network are welcome. We welcome research topics in the fields of economics, sociology, business and management, demography, health, and developments in data sets. Papers should involve statistical analyses on nonpublic versions of data sets available from the U.S. Census Bureau, the National Center for Health Statistics, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Bureau of Economic Analysis, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the FRB Microeconomic Surveys Unit.

Conference Details

You are invited to submit papers to the 2025 Federal Statistical Research Data Center (FSRDC) Annual Research Conference taking place on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. The conference will be a day of concurrent paper sessions and a keynote presentation.

All papers based on current or recent research leveraging the restricted-use confidential data that the Census Bureau and its partner agencies make available through the FSRDC network are welcome. Please submit your paper or an abstract of up to 500 words describing your research question, the data used (including sponsoring agency), methodology, and summary of results. Results can be anticipated or preliminary if they are not yet finalized. As a reminder, results need to have undergone disclosure avoidance review and must be approved for release. The abstract should include a presentation title and a list of all authors and their affiliations. Also, please provide an email address for the contact author.

Deadline for submissions is Monday, June 23, 2025. We anticipate sending notices of acceptance by Monday, July 7,  2025.

  • Hilton Garden Inn Ithaca: Across the street from the Ithaca Commons, offering convenient access to shops, restaurants, and the Route 30 bus to the Robert Purcell Community Center (RPCC). The hotel also offers a complimentary area shuttle.
  • Canopy By Hilton Ithaca Downtown: Also situated in downtown Ithaca, providing easy walking access to local amenities and the Route 30 bus for transportation to RPCC. The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to Cornell.
  • Holiday Inn Express & Suites Ithaca: Please note that it is located further from downtown Ithaca and the Cornell campus.  Close to Buttermilk Falls and Ithaca Beer Co.

Ultimately, attendees are welcome to choose any accommodation that best suits their preferences and budget. Ithaca offers a range of other hotels, motels, and bed & breakfasts in various locations. We encourage you to explore options and book in advance. Be aware that the downtown area will be very busy due to the Apple Harvest Festival taking place September 26-28.
