The Health Communication Research Initiative (HCRI) was formed in 2019 via the generous support of the Provost’s Office and College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at Cornell University. Health communication occurs at multiple levels - interpersonally, within groups and networks, in health care organizations, in policymaking forums, in the mass media, online, within and between institutions, and in society as a whole. Housed within the Department of Communication, HCRI seeks to catalyze and promote rigorous, innovative and impactful research that informs health communication research, training, practice and policy.
