Postdoctoral Working Group
This interdisciplinary group for postdoctoral social scientists is co-sponsored by the Cornell Center for Social Sciences, Cornell Population Center, Center for the Study of Inequality, and the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research. This group fosters the development of work in progress and research collaborations through monthly lunch meetings. The meetings are held in Martha Van Rensselaer Hall or the Human Ecology Building. Linda Zhao, CPC Frank H.T. Rhodes Postdoctoral Fellow, facilitates the postdoctoral group.

Cornell Office of Faculty Development and Diversity
The Cornell Office of Faculty Development and Diversity (OFDD) provides a range of resources, including training and support for Deans, Department Chairs, and individual faculty members, in the areas of faculty development and diversity. The OFDD works with Deans, Chairs, and search committees to improve recruitment and retention practices and increase faculty hiring diversity. The office guides the academic leadership and individual faculty members on mentoring and the tenure and promotion processes. The OFDD also offers professional development programming and grants opportunities for faculty. The office actively collaborates with the Division of Human Resources, the Dean of the Faculty, and other offices on campus to support the success and well-being of all faculty members.
National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity
Cornell is a member of the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity, a nationally recognized, independent organization providing online career development and mentoring resources. The subscription entitles all faculty, academic staff, and graduate students to access tools to increase research and writing productivity and improve work-life balance. It includes weekly productivity tips, writing challenges, and professional development webinars.
