David Strang

A sociology professor, David Strang’s research explores worlds as diverse as the hiring and firing of baseball managers to trends in the structure of articles published in journals. He has examined the role consultants play in disseminating and implementing new practices, and how social movement campaigns have shifted their focus from the federal to local governments.

The author of Learning by Example: Imitation and Innovation at a Global Bank, Strang also has penned articles published in the Administrative Science Quarterly, American Journal of Sociology and Organizational Studies, among other book chapters and journals.

In his spare time, he likes to cycle the globe.
